• Temporary Instructional Permit – Eligibility Date is indicated on the permit

• All applicants are required to wear a helmet

• Motorcycle must have license plate and working brake lights
• All applicants are required to wear a helmet
• Handlebars must not be taller than 30 inches high from the seat of the bike

Your Motorcycle test will consist of 4 exercises that will take place in the parking lot. While the test for a two wheel and three wheel bike may vary slightly.

Two Wheel Bike Test:

• Cone Weave and Normal Stop
• Turn from a Stop and U Turn
• Quick Stop
• Obstacle Swerve

Three Wheel Bike Test:

• Left Turn and Normal Stop
• Cone Weave and Right Turn from a Stop
• Quick Stop
• Obstacle Swerve

You only have two attempts to pass the motorcycle test. You may end the test at any point. Your examiner will electronically submit your results to the State of Michigan the same day.
