Top Tips for Passing Your Road Test

🚗

Know Your Vehicle

Before your test, make sure you know where all controls are — turn signals, windshield wipers, headlights, emergency brake, and hazard lights. The examiner will check vehicle functions before the test begins.

👀

Check Your Mirrors

Examiners watch closely for mirror checks. Before changing lanes, turning, or backing up, always check your rearview and side mirrors, then do a shoulder check. Make it visible.

🛑

Full Stops at Signs

Rolling stops are one of the most common causes of failure. Come to a complete, full stop behind the stop line — count to one second before proceeding. Look both ways every time.

đŸšĻ

Speed Awareness

Always follow posted speed limits. Don't go too slow either — driving under the speed limit can be marked as a hazard. Maintain steady, consistent speed and match the flow of traffic.

↊ī¸

Wide Turns

Take turns at the correct speed and stay in your lane. Don't cut corners on right turns or swing wide on left turns. Position your car correctly before initiating any turn.

🧘

Stay Calm

Nerves are normal, but don't let them rush you. Take your time, breathe, and focus on each task as it comes. Our examiners are professionals — they want you to succeed.

What the Examiner Is Evaluating

Smooth acceleration and braking, steering control, lane position, and speed management.

Obeying signs, signals, right-of-way rules, and speed limits throughout the test route.

Lane Changes

Safe, smooth lane changes with proper signaling, mirror checks, and adequate spacing.
